She is perched in my flower pot full of pens and pencils. I am going to try an sketch her for some of my art work. In this pic she is sitting in her little purple nest of tulle. I should name her. What to name her?
Counting Sheep Not Working
Well as you can see by the hour I am still awake. I will post this quick blog post and then up to art room to work on a project. Not sure why I am not sleepy.
Seems that the "counting sheep" idea is not working. Any other suggestions - anyone have a hammer, maybe you could knock me out. lol I would say see you in the morning, but we're already there. See you later.

What a nice little find. You do need to get some sleep, have you tried any medications.
Oh she's adorable, i will have to put up the one I was working from on my blog! Here's a tip from an eternal insomniac ( I was medicated when I was 18 as I would go days with maybe 2 hours sleep)The shrink taught me this, start with your toes, think of them as filling ful of all your stress and getting warmer as you do so and then allow it to be released through your toes, picture it floating away like coloureed steam. Then do the same with your calves, then thighs and so on ti you get al the way up your torso and hands, arms, face, until ou get to your head and scalp. I have to admit to never ever getting pat my hands! It really works, and I am not usually the hippy dippy sort!
Hi jacq and carol. i hate taking meds unless natural, which my naturopathic did give me and i forget to take it. thanks for the reminder jacq. maybe it would help to put it by my bed. think i will try your suggestion carol. thanks my fellow artists.
Cute little Dove, Dove. You could name him/her.....ummmmm.....Lovey. Girlfriend, am I going to have to drive 9-10 hrs. and come spank you? Get some sleep. Take the natural stuff you got last month. My mom does the same thing and by 2 in the afternoon, she's pooped and wants to take a nap.
Hey Sherry: i would love a visit but not for that reason, lol. I don't get tired during the day either, that is what's so strange.
Hope the insomnia lets you rest tonight, and tomorrow, and tomorrow. Love the dove, I agree, lovey is a great name!
What a cute bird! I would have had to bring her home, too. Regarding the insomnia -- do you always keep the same routine before bedtime? I have certain little chores that I do each night before bed and I think it trains your mind to get ready for bed. Hope you can find a solution. Have you thought about setting an alarm so you can remember to take your natural meds?
