400th Post Give-away
On October 17, 2007 I began my life as a blogger thanks to Fannie.
So one week from today October 9th, 2008 I will pick a name from
the comments left on this post. And if there are none well that if fine too.
I don't have many readers but that is ok. I never started out really
expecting to. My blog was more of me wanting to talk to God and
express my appreciation to Him for my creativity and artistic
abilities, whatever they may be. And I wanted to be consistent everyday
to post something on it. Writing/journaling is what I absolutely love!!!
I have confirmed, as I knew from childhood, I love trading homemade
art with people and receiving mail in my mailbox. There was such a
deep desire to get mail as a little child with my name on it. To me that
is the weirdest thing. But hey whatever the reason I am enjoying it.
Joining groups have helped me achieve this wonderful desire. I have been fulfilled beyond measure. I have met artists all over the world.
Many bloggers have a give-away when they reach a certain milestone, so I thought 400 posts was a great mile stone. I will do a give away and one art piece I will do for the winner is a doll triptych. Above is an example of my first ever triptych. My little tag is felted with my interpretations of a flower vine. I really enjoyed doing this. Believe it or not it took a lot of time. But I have no regrets. This piece leaves for CT this morning headed to Nj my trade partner. She heads up FAT - Fiber Artists Trades. This is by far for me my favorite group that I have found on yahoo because of the way we trade art.

How sweet of you Dove. I, too, lack in readers and that's okay. I've found that blogging helps me unclog the brain, calm the fears of losing the job, and has brought some very wonderful and spiritual people into my life which I desperately needed. Though I don't comment on every post, you and Fannie are my first two reads of the day. I want to do a giveaway, but I don't have anything to share right now. I need more practice with all the art I play with.
Hi Dove, it is hard to believe that it has been a year since we started this journey. I love sharing things with wonderful people like you. We live in a fairly small community and it is wonderful to see what people around the world are doing.
Hi, Dove. What an amazing year with 400 posts you've shared with all of your readers. Extraordinary achievement! Congrats!
I'm really glad you decided to blog. You and Jacq were in my very first postcard exchange group and probably my first two blog readers besides my family. Hah!
I enjoy your daily reads. They bring spiritual balance to my life. Thank you for sharing.
Sweet Dove...congratulations on your 400th post and your year anniversary! Don't think that just because there may not be many comments that people don't come and read....they DO!
Your blog has always been a comfort and inspiration to me both in art and your beautiful words....coming to read your blog is like sitting at the feet of a good reader and absorbing every inflection!
Your blog sooths my soul and I thank God that it's here!!
Hugs,
Noel

Congratulations on reaching your 400th blog post. I too love getting fun, creative mail art. I just swapped with a woman in Belgium. My package to her was so expensive, but you know, it was so fun to put together the box of goodies and to receive one from her. Your fabric art is gorgeous. There will be one lucky winner very soon.
Wow! Congratulations! I will have to do that. I will have to figure out how many I have! Sorry I missed out on the triptych trade. BTW yours was so unique! I had mine all planned out, but too much depression sort of killed it. I have to get refocused. At least I got a cat done for the next one.
I am so sorry to hear about your poor dog. I pray that all will heal and eventually be his old self. I feel badly for you both!
