Cut It Out Cut it Up

the wall painting http://morningdew15-morningdove.blogspot.com/2011/10/faces.html i did in connie's BIG class hung on my wall all last year. but yesterday i felt the need to cut it up. so it came from the wall. i cut out each face and my plan is to put them on my ceiling. i loved feeling the paper remembering all the techniques i put on it.BUT this is a new year and my desires have changed, i need to be able to create without so much stimulation on my walls. i want my new design boards up, i want fresh. So away with the old and in with the new. also rearranging my art studio and cleaning it out even more. it feels GREAT!!

FAT Year-Long TAG 2013

constance listed a new year-long FAT tag technique for 2013 so i jumped back into play. the challenge was to include paper, couching and free-motion stitching.

Vision and Hope

i received a wonderful gift from my oldest son. he created a very personal canvas he titled "A Mother's Love". looking back over my vision board from last year i can truly say the part i created about being a mother was fulfilled. actually it exceeded my expectations.
i began my 2013 vision board today and its interesting where it is heading. softness, gentleness, freshness, much 'ness' ness. i wondered if i would have one word for 2013 and this morning i had already prayed but seemed to get no response. then when i came up to work on my computer the Holy Spirit dropped the word "VISION" into my spirit. envision that!

New Year The Cup of My Life

i've thought about my new 2013 Word and am not sure what it is. BUT i thought i would go back to communion with God working through The Cup of Life book. the cup i decided to use is the one i was led to purchase from Grand Turks, all handcarved wood with leaves across the front.  very significant for me i feel in the new year, healing leaves.
i received the most amazing gift from my oldest son.  a beautiful crafted canvas from his own hands.  i was so taken back with the beauty of my gift.  it hangs on my dining room wall in grandeur and splendor.  he has so many talents i am truly blessed to be the recipient of his first gift given in love.  thank you my son!
