CONGRATULATIONS JACQ
I will be sending you a goodie box and a triptych Colonial doll.
I was on an interesting blog last night and think I will attempt to follow her instructions. Cami Walker challenged everyone to do a give-away every day for 29 days.
Doesn't matter what the give-away is, just that you begin to give away something - a smile, a parking space (oh that's a big one, esp. if its close to the store and raining, lol), stash goodies, a kind word, etc. You get the idea - right?! Oh one other thing she asks you to journal about it and sign up on the site. She's trying for 2000 participants. I have to admit I didn't sign up; not sure I will.
Well it just so happens that today was my 400th blog post give-away deadline from last week. So the winner of my first ever give-away is Jacq.
I decided to make sure that all eight of you will receive a give-away from me within the next 29 days. So you won't know when you are getting a package. Just be on the lookout in your mailbox. How's that!?!?
How I Came To Know You
Jacq, Fannie and I met online in a fabric postcard exchange.
They have the same birthday in November. Jacq does some wonderful fabric gifts and is a wonderful quilter.
Fannie was in my first postcard mail art exchange.
She encouraged me to begin a blog. And I have not regretted it one day.
What a talented woman, artist, entrepreneur!
Sherry was a member of FAT long before I joined a year ago.
It was my first Yahoo group. What did I know; I was wet behind the ears and green; oh so green. She has a wonderful embroidery business.
I ordered my nephew's new baby gifts from her. They were beautiful.
Noel and I met through FAT too. But I loved reading her blog and her son's blog on "the mask." She is a fantastic beader and all around artist. I have a beaded icicle doll and beaded fish from this great artist.
Cecilia and I met through Latest Trend and an auction Cynthia sponsored to assist a kidney transplant recipient. I was able to acquire Cecilia wonderful leaf piece. The technique was unusual, the art piece a treasure.
She doesn't have a blog yet.
You are never disappointed with her trades, her workmanship and most of all her great sense of humor. She is busy with classes right now.
Linda and I met through her group on altered books. Her altered books are amazing pieces of art. Oh to one day create like that! She sponsored a round robin altered book exchange and I jumped in with both feet. Its great fun.
and last but not least
Jan has posted through Noel's blog site. Jan has more in common with me than she knows. I see she created her blog in Oct 2007 also. I love her quilt work.
And she is having a blog give-away too. Check her out
.
Thank you all for giving me an opportunity to get to know you.
I consider you all dear blogger friends.
Blogger is being a bugger and not keeping my paragraphs,
so everything is coming out jumbled. Arrgh!!
