in my backyard. zoomed in trying to capture all the different species.
the beautiful sound of cooing from the dove. she has such gentle, sweet eyes.
I created this journal page from the mail package goodies - stamps, prayer, masking tape and a card she stamped with scripture. it came at such a great time - when I was very sick last week. thank you HKC Secret Sis.

Tree of Life
today i took a beading class at the BeadTender called the Tree Of Life. my teacher, diane from Surry, was wonderful. she really explained in detail how to create it. iplanned on using small beads but then when i started experimenting with the chunky green beads i could not put them down.
i plan on making more of these
i played around with the roots and bent them so they don't look like this now. Saturday, April 11, 2015
Soldering
today I took my first soldering class. oh my, at least i purchased a beautiful FLOW magazine from Holland and used two pics from it. fell in love with the two girls and their goose. celebrating friendship. at the bottom i placed two dragonflies.
this is one project i won't be investing in any time soon. no soldering gun, flux or other doodahs. but i am glad i took the class.

Butterfly Transformation
someone many years ago gave me this unfinished applique butterfly. love the whimsical cat fabric. what to do with it? it remained in my stash untouched until
i snipped and trimmed with pinking shears - glued it to my large journal page that was also created many moons ago but it is now bound in a new handmade journal. my flowers grew "silence" "clap" and "spirit". now i love that buttefly's transformation.

My Day In Pictures
looking out my bedroom window upstairs this little birdie was sitting on my deck rail.
a trip to Lowe's for flowers and two cute word rocks. Believe and Hope.
I filled a wire feeder with strips of fabric and place outside on my pallet flower garden wall.
and finally after all those errands i planted the beautiful flowers i picked up for my hubby bc he loves having blooming flowers on our front porch. and do you know after working all day and night the very thing he noticed when he came home were the flowers. as he came in the door that was what he mentioned. Thank you God for your beauty.

Follow Me Creative

i made 3 art journals, 2 following JennieBellie's Poster Journal class. since making them i am finding it easier to use my scraps of everything (fabric, paper, text, tags, cardboard) you name it i am using it. this is so much fun, finally using all my skills from quilting, art quilting, mixed-media, journaling, drawing, painting both on fabric and papers. free, free at last to be creative.
here are a few of my pages - all fold outs of some kind. none of them are finished only WIP pages but i love that they don't have to be done in one sitting.
my 4x6 timber card along with my African brown paper bag body girl.
fold out sea scenery with toilet paper fish mold + text word "seashore"
partial page with strip word text fabric "create" + magazine word "BE" + my moon picture printed on mulberry paper. this is not a good pic of that - but its amazing.
and my fabric journal page for HKC-TMD March Journey to the Cross. painted fabric background, spray paint, fishing lead with bead and sequin, stamp fish + sharpie marker, magazine text, frilly ribbon, cheesecloth dyed, free motion "follow ME"
Follow ME and I will make you fishers of men. Matthew 4:19
